Live Fire Medical Trauma

This is a 1 day (10 Hour), course of instruction that focuses on how to safely operate the law enforcement pistol/patrol rifle while also administering trauma care to critically injured victims. This course will familiarize the student with the basic functions and fundamentals of trauma care while also safely pushing the student to the limits of their current knowledge level. This course does start with 2-4 hours of in class instruction and end 6 hours of practicing medical interventions and life saving skills while engaging the simulated threats with the patrol rifle and pistol. This course will exponentially and aggressively sharpen the medical knowledge and skills of on scene trauma care and will provide a real world look at treating wounds on an active scene with active threats. This course will introduce familiarity of locating and terminating the target on scene of a shooting with the patrol rifle and pistol and will instill confidence in both the student and their host law enforcement agency. TCOLE hours may be available for this period of instruction.
This course requires:
A duty/patrol rifle (IF YOU ARE KNOWLEDGABLE IN ITS FUNCTIONS AND USE, if not do not bring one focus on pistol work)
Duty pistol
Duty belt (or a way to carry your gun and magazine outside of the waistline on a structured belt)
250 rounds of pistol ammunition and 3 magazines total (2 on belt 1 in gun)
200 rounds of rifle ammo and 2 extra magazines (three magazines total IF YOU ARE BRINGING A RIFLE)
